Stephanie was caring for a patient on our unit who had been with us for six days. The patient had received some very bad news regarding her pregnancy. The patient's best friend wanted to do something special like get a custom Build-A-Bear but did not know if she could afford it. When Stephanie volunteered to pay for it, the friend went to pick it up. They made it to where the bear held the infant's heartbeat.
