Congratulations to Stephanie Samuelson, RN, BSN, from the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). She was nominated by a couple of families and this is what they had to say:
She’s an angel from heaven that came to the PICU! From the moment she came on duty, she was professional, assertive, kind and loving gentle nurse. She took such excellent care of Bella. She would come in and assess her from top to bottom. She instinctively knew what Bella needed or wanted even on a ventilator. When she touched B it was always with the most sensitive touch and compassion. B was vented a lot but Stephanie always treated her as if she were awake, talking to her with assurance and stroking her lovingly. I sat many hours in the PICU and your Stephanie just shines! She loves her career and it shows nightly. Stephanie even had the infusion pole timed so it wouldn’t go off, she came in a minute or two ahead!! Just not hearing the beeping was a small relief. I honestly believe she is a nurse 24/7 and always shines. She deserves this award from my family and me. I just adore her nursing skills.
muy bien preparada nos trato con mucha amabilidad y ps no se si sea importante pero nos facilito la comunicacion pues habla dos idiomas en relidad es muy buena enfermera (She's very well prepared, she treated us with great kindness. I'm not sure if it's important but, she helped us to communicate since she spoke two languages. Indeed she is a very good nurse.)
