I was at the Diagnostic Center for a cardiac procedure. Stephanie was the nurse who cared for me. She is the kind of nurse every patient deserves. First, she is excellent in her technical knowledge and her ability to explain what is happening to a non-medical person. She took the time to explain the procedure even after the doctor had just explained it. This was extremely important to me as I wanted to clearly understand what was happening, but also important to my husband because I think he was more nervous than me. She was professional and patient; completely willing to answer my questions. Secondly, her personality and caring nature were so helpful to me as I was extremely anxious and nervous about the procedure. She has a way of calming you and making you understand that you are being well cared for and making it clear she is there to help you. She was responsive to my needs during the entire time I was at LUMC.

I am grateful to her for helping me through a stressful and long day. She should be commended for sharing her nursing abilities and her excellent patient skills. Loyola is a special place and will always be in my heart.
