Stephanie Simmons 2, BSN, RN

During a busy day in the ER, we had multiple admits and one needing to go to CCU. The patient had been waiting for a room for over an hour, and critical orders had been started when a stabbing trauma came in. Stephanie had called from CCU to let me know the room was clean and was ready for a report before I was even able to call her. When I told her I wouldn't be able to bring the patient over for a while due to the trauma that had arrived, she said, "Don't worry, I will come over and get the patient for you since you are busy." I felt that Stephanie went above and beyond her duties and was demonstrating teamwork to its highest. She has done this more than once, and the same day, she helped another ER nurse get some instruments to sterile processing along with bringing back clean ones to that unit along with 3 other units!
