November 2021 Honoree
Stephanie VandeBrake, RN
I was admitted to the hospital because of a stroke and put in a room on the 5th floor. Stephanie was my nurse the first couple of nights on that floor. On the second night, it was around midnight and she was checking my vitals and during the course of that, realized I was headed into another stroke. She called a Rapid Response and thanks to that, the necessary personnel came to my aide and got me through that and back to my room where she continued to care for me until I was back on the right track. Had it not been for her great actions, I would probably not come through at all. She saved my life!
Thank you, Stephanie, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
