Our father was transferred from the 4th floor of MGMC to Hospice. While settling into hospice, he shared that he wanted to thank Stephanie for being a “special nurse” at MGMC. I asked him what it was that was so special about Stephanie, and his reply was, "Stephanie was the 'sunshine in my day.' She was always happy and willing to help. I could feel her genuine concern. She wanted to make my stay as comfortable as could be. She most certainly contributed to my wellbeing in a positive way. I could just tell she loves her job."

Our father died one day later. His family found it remarkable that Stephanie had made such an impact that his wish was that she was acknowledged before he left this world. Stephanie, our family thanks you from our hearts. Your work was not unnoticed. We appreciate all that you did for our father. Stephanie, you are a compassionate nurse. Thank you for sharing your skills. This world needs you more than ever, and we are so grateful our loved one was blessed with you as his nurse.
