Recently I was admitted to Children's for being sick. I, unfortunately, lost my daddy recently too. My team of doctors and my nurse helped me through more than just my illness. They nurtured and loved me while showing me compassion regarding the loss of my daddy. They comforted my mommy and provided resources for my mommy and me to receive the emotional support we need. They treated my mommy, my sister, and me with dignity and respect. All in all Steph, my nurse, became like an extension of the family. God blessed us with her during a much needed time of our lives.
