Stephanie was nominated by a co-worker for using excellent assessment skills to identify a serious illness for an infant. Stephanie noticed the baby's color wasn't right, and she was also having difficulty getting proper readings on other tests. Stephanie determined the baby needed further evaluation. Thanks to her persistence, the baby was taken to the NICU, evaluated and treated promptly.
