Stephanie Wilt, BSN, RN-CCRN

I brought my 61-year-old husband to the ER with severe chest pains and not being able to breathe well. He was admitted, and tests were started. He got worse throughout the night and the next day. He was moved to the ICU until a bed opened up at Barnes Jewish. Stephanie came to his rescue and questioned some orders and decisions that I wholeheartedly think saved his life. She was confident, knowledgeable, compassionate, and rushed to get things done. She pulled us aside and explained what was happening and what could happen throughout the night, and she stayed over past her shift to continue to monitor my husband. She really made an impression on me, my husband, my daughter, and my family. I’ve mentioned her name to our primary care NP, who said she is an amazing nurse. I feel Stephanie most definitely deserves this award. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
