Stephannie went above and beyond making me feel comfortable and making sure I understood what meds I am receiving. She let me know she is here for me if I ever needed to talk. I isolated myself and wouldn't come out of my room and she helped convince me to build myself up and overcome my depression and anxiety. She would make sure I was okay and ask if there was anything I needed or that she could do to help me when I was at my lowest points. When I felt alone she helped me by giving me ideas to distract me. She was always positive and genuinely cared about me as a person, not just a patient. She would ask if it was okay to talk about certain things in front of people and followed confidentiality 110%. Most importantly she reminded me the struggles were only temporary and I could overcome anything if I put my mind to it.

Stephannie provided empathetic care on the day of my procedure. Can be a bit brisk when rating pain for meds but does not withhold meds as other nurses have done.

Stephannie is always willing to change the channel in the day room while treating patients with respect. She communicates with all patients with respect and when patients are sad, she is very empathetic.

Recently I found myself depressed, hopeless, and emotionally vacant due to a tragic situation. My nurse, Stephannie, helped me to deal and learn how to cope with these emotions of guilt. I blamed myself for being the cause of the tragedy and she would try to console me. Stephannie distracted me and was there for me 110% when I needed someone to talk to. She encouraged me to come out of my room and stop isolating myself. She showed me the signs that I could not see for myself that were extremely unhealthy. Once I recognized I was isolating myself, she showed me a list she made of ways to pull myself out of isolation and depression.
I have been to many therapists and counseling centers and EMDR therapy and I have never felt so important like I am the #1 priority until it came to this nurse. She knew exactly what to say and gave me the help I needed without even knowing.
She tells me her reward for working here is to see patients prosper, grow, and focus on their sobriety. She has been here for me and anything I've needed she dropped whatever she was doing.
All of my emotional needs have been met. She has been above and beyond when it comes to being here for me. She has shown me she genuinely cares and isn't here for just a paycheck.

She is an excellent team player who is always willing to help her colleagues. She does an outstanding job advocating for patients when communicating their needs to all disciplines. Stephannie provides outstanding care to patients in a non-judgmental and respectful manner. She is honest, sincere, and a pleasure to work with.
