Stephen Dinehart was on his game 110 percent from the time he reported to duty in ICU until the time he left. I was in ICU for a bleeding ulcer with low BP and low hemoglobin. I had not eaten since Tuesday evening; the doctor who performed my endoscopy said after my endoscopy, I could have a liquid diet but for some reason, everyone found it difficult to get broth and juice for me, even water. Stephen arrived at about 7 or 8 pm and bent over my bed and took the best care of me. He arranged to have my blood taken by some of the other nurses who had difficulty doing that in the middle of the night. Then he arranged to get me my first meal, and it arrived two hours later that evening – 2 kinds of broth and juice. Stephen was beyond prompt and helpful. He was also very thorough and explained several medical conditions to me. Thank God for nurses like Stephen.
