On behalf of the entire Nursing Practice and Quality Council, we would like to nominate Stephen for the DAISY Award. Stephen recently transitioned to a position in the float pool and consistently provides exceptional patient care throughout the hospital. He is highly adaptable to the unique needs of each patient and every clinical interaction, always delivering compassionate, individualized care to everyone he encounters.

Stephen’s patients consistently express their appreciation and admiration for him, often requesting that he return to care for them again. He has a remarkable ability to make patients feel seen, comfortable, and physically better, even during their most vulnerable moments. In addition to his outstanding patient care, Stephen is widely recognized by staff for his positive attitude and unique ability to uplift team morale. Our council agrees that no matter where he goes for his shift, he leaves a "memorable impression". He is always willing to help and educate his colleagues, even when managing his own demanding workload. His ability to remain calm under pressure helps those around him to stay focused, ultimately contributing to better patient outcomes. Stephen embodies exactly what a nurse should be. He is kindhearted, knowledgeable, dedicated, and personable.
