Stephen had a patient who flew in from Florida to be with his ill mother. He did not have a cell phone and came into the hospital for emergency surgery directly from the airport. Alone in the hospital with no way home and no way to contact his mother or sister, Stephen found a way to track down his sister online, found a phone number for her and called her to be sure that it was her. He went out of his way to make sure his patient had a point of contact in South Carolina and had a way to get to his ill mother after discharge.
Stephen always goes out of his way for all of his patients to get what they need but today he really took the time out of his day to be sure that his patient felt at ease with his upcoming discharge.
Without Stephen finding his patient's sister for him, he was going to have to return to Florida without having any contact or seeing his sister or mother.
