The wife of a patient wrote of her husband's reoccurring visits to our imaging department to have fluid removed. She stated her husband was always nervous prior to the procedure but Stephen always came to the waiting room with a smile and kind greeting to take him for the procedure which would ease his nerves. As her husband's visits because more frequent and his health began to decline, Stephen not only gave compassionate care to her husband but also her. She stated that Stephen was a great example of a compassionate, caring nurse. The wife also stated that she will always remember the care that her husband received from Stephen during the months before his death.
