It is the first time my husband and I experienced surgery together in our family. It was high-risk complicated 5 hr. surgery on his spine. I was super nervous not knowing what to expect. Stepphanie was so patient with me. She answered my never-ending questions. She acknowledged that I was overwhelmed and offered to help me build up the confidence that I needed to bring my husband home and care for him on my own. I appreciate her empathy. Her compassion in taking care of us. She has been such a delight to work with. We are grateful that she is our nurse. She deserves a big shout-out. Her excellence is a great reflection of the standard of care in El Camino Health. Thank you!

Stepphanie was outstanding! She treated my friend with such tender care. He was often a demanding patient, needing help moving, sitting, checking insulin, and managing CPAP – all of the challenges he faced post-back surgery. She was so patient to explain all of his care and to tell us what to expect. She arranged for our pick up of his medications so that he could be discharged. She joyfully cared not only for (patient) but for his nervous wife, answering lots of questions and assuaging our concerns.
