Steve Mooney, DNP, RN

For the last 20 years, nursing has been rated as one of the most trusted professions in America. Steve was nominated by a patient family member for the trusted impression he left on them. The patient was having a major surgery and this nurse provided timely updates to the family and treated them with empathy and compassion. The nomination noted that he treated all the families in the waiting room with the same caring attitude and explained the complex procedure in layman’s terms so they could understand. The nomination stated, “…(he) left a trusted impression of his credibility and confidence in the surgeon and the recovery team.”
