Kudos to everybody! As always – you guys were 5 stars across the board. Due to an unexpected emergency my expected surgery time got delayed by 2.5 hours. I informed my nurse that I was in an enormous amount of pain and that I was now going to have to wait for surgery. She contacted my doctor who explained that proper surgical protocol was NOT to administer pain medication before having surgery – but that he would talk to my nurse. After my doctor found out how long it was going to be before I could have surgery and how much pain I was in, he granted an exception to protocol and gave me something for my pain. Nurse Steve and another nurse were SIMPLY OUTSTANDING. Unfortunately, this second surgery was a no-go also. I was kinda bummed out. Their kind professional demeanor, actions, and attitudes were “just what the doctor ordered”. I thank you and I thank God for you.
