During my time at 1 South, Steve took time to get to know and understand my story and know how he and the department could help my stay be meaningful and worthwhile. Steve treats each person with integrity, empathy, compassion, and understanding.

I arrived here late at night, so I woke up the next morning scared and confused. Steve talked to me and told me everything was going to be ok. If it weren't for Steve I would have never left my bed. Instead, I got up, ate, showered, and interacted with people.

I am forever grateful for what he has done for me. He puts his whole heart into what he does. Thank you, Steve, for making a HUGE difference in my life.
