July 2020 Honoree
steven brenhaug, LPN
Over the holiday weekend, I had the pleasure to work with a remarkable nurse by the name of Steven Brenhaug. We had a veteran that required more attention than usual. I observed Steven being a nurse, CNA, father, son, and most of all a good person.
Steven is always calm. It's what I call a cool in all situations, even in an emergency, which is just the way Steven remained all weekend. The veteran needed some extra special attention and Steven made sure he received it, not just from himself but all the staff. I watched Steven give the veteran complete compassion, understanding, kindness, and care as one veteran to another fellow veteran.
Steven treated him with respect and dignity. He is the type of nurse I would want to take care of my family or myself. Steven has not just earned it but deserves to have the DAISY Award with honor.
