Steven "Kris" Shelton, RN

Please let me just start by saying that nurse Kris Shelton was absolutely incredible all day long starting at 7am when he began his shift by making fun of the Manchester United jersey I was wearing. He had me there and his passion and care continued throughout his entire shift. Kris never lost a step, broke a sweat, or swayed from his upbeat positive attitude. He was like a double rainbow every time he entered my hospital room. So when Kris left at the end of his shift without saying goodbye and me knowing that it was his Friday and I would possibly never see him again I was totally bummed. I nearly asked my new nurse, who was pretty awesome in her own right, if Kris was still around but I didn't. And about twenty minutes later my hospital phone rang for the very first time, it was Kris calling me from home to apologize to me for not saying goodbye and to explain why. Hello Humankindness!!!
