A patient transfer/direct admit was rerouted to the EC after discovering that a CVICU bed was not available. Steven was contacted, in the middle of the night, due to his expertise with post arrest, intubated patients with a balloon pump. He arrived at the EC, in the middle of the night, in record time. His poise, knowledge, and empathy for the EC staff was beyond belief. He cared for the patient as he taught the EC staff and answered multiple questions with such wisdom and compassion. He brought a sense of calm to a situation that could have turned out terrible. His willingness to come to the aid of the EC staff, no matter the time, will never be forgotten!
