He explained what he was able to do and made us comfortable. He listened to Dad's stories with patience and kindness.
Our family can't say enough about how much we appreciate Steve and the care he showed toward B, our loved one.
Steve cared for our father in two different units, PCU ICU and Neuro ICU.
When we were sitting around after B's passing and discussing his care, our appreciation for Steve came up. When I asked what characteristics the family appreciated about Steve, the responses were: honest, forthright, thorough, quick to respond, compassionate, responsive to B and the family, approachable, and great bedside manner.
Whether he was busy with another patient or not, he never made us feel like we were bothering him. He explained what he was able to do and made us comfortable. He listened to Dad's stories with patience and kindness. When he left his last shift, he wished us well and the best. We couldn't have asked for a better, more caring nurse.
