Two friends were out together when they noticed that one of the guests had collapsed onto the floor. Quickly, their ACLS skills kicked in and soon they were doing CPR to assist the fallen man. They continued CPR until EMS arrived. They were able to get a pulse briefly, but the patient became pulseless again. Once EMS arrived and an AED was attached, they discovered that the man was in Ventricular Fibrillation and required defibrillation. They assisted the EMS providers and continued CPR until the man was transported to the ambulance. He was alive when he left their care.
