Stevi Webb, BSN, RN
Stevi was on night shift for us. She was incredibly kind, funny, amiable, and accommodating. The staff had decorated the nurse’s station for her birthday, and she graciously shared her cake with us at 10 pm. We were quite anxious being on the cardiac floor, not knowing what the results might be. She put us at ease and did everything she could to help us get a good night’s rest: turning off IV alarms, doing minimal check-ins while we slept, and consulting with the doctor when a big headache kicked in (she solved it). We were quite sad when her shift ended.

I don’t have the right words to express the way we feel about each person from all the different departments we have come in contact with since we came to this hospital last Saturday. We would like to take each one of you home with us! I worked in hospitals for over 30 years before retiring. Neither of us has ever met a great bunch of people like this! Blank was very personable and took such great care of my husband so that I could take him home with me. She is great at caring for the whole patient and their family, always trying her best to keep us comfortable and connect us with doctors when we had questions. We have only been married 5 months, and before coming to Methodist Germantown, I don't believe we had more than a few days to a couple of weeks in this life together. I think Stevi did everything possible to make us have a beautiful life together. We want to thank you for all the excellent care we both received. God bless you, Stevi!

My 82-year-old husband was a patient in the step-down unit on 3 North for 13 days. He had fallen and fractured the upper femur just at the hip. Prior to surgery, he had gone into a fib, which delayed his surgery by a day. After surgery, they sent him to 3 North. Since neither of us had been a hospital patient for many years, we were naturally a little apprehensive. However, when we met Stevi, we knew the Lord had guided our path to exactly where my husband needed to be.
Stevi was so attentive to both of us. She was always willing to answer questions or address any concerns we had. Although she had other patients, you would have thought she was there just for us. As you can imagine, my husband could get a little testy sometimes, since he was pretty much helpless when it came to anything that required mobility. Stevie never seemed frustrated or rushed; it was like we were her top priority. Nothing was too menial for her to do, nor did any task seem so great that she couldn’t take care of it or find someone to help.
After we had been there for a while, one day he was getting up to do physical therapy but was unable to put any weight on the leg opposite the one that was broken. Upon investigation, he was found to have a torn ACL. That meant even more care was needed. Stevi never failed in providing the help he needed. She took on any task at hand, from cleaning him to catheterizing him to bringing him ice cream. She was professional, capable, personable, respectful, polite, and made the stay as much fun as a patient could have under the circumstances. Having her with us was like having the smart, fun daughter there to take care of us.
We hope you appreciate her even more than we do. I'm sure all her patients felt just as special as we did. For this reason, we would like to nominate Stevi for the DAISY Award. Thank you for this opportunity to recognize her.
