My husband was treated in the ED for acute pancreatitis. He was violently sick and could not control it. Stevie immediately recognized the severity of the situation, and brought my husband back to a room and initiated treatment. He worked very efficiently and quickly to start an IV. As soon as medications were ordered he was there to administer them. Stevie made my husband feel like he was the most important patient in the ED that night. Stevie is one of the unsung heroes of the ED that quietly and efficiently does an excellent job. He deserves the DAISY Award because of his calm and caring attitude under pressure.
