My grandmother was in a car wreck on her way to my sister's gender reveal party. This was a very special day, as my sister has had 2 miscarriages now. My grandmother was traveling from Huntsville, AL when she ran off the road and flipped her car. Stevie was her nurse and after hearing my grandmother's story and plans for the day, Stevie called to update us every step of the way. Stevie knew how important this was not only to my family but to my grandmother as well. Stevie took time out of her busy shift to ensure that my grandmother was included in this special moment. Stevie assisted my grandmother (who was/is unable to see due to glass being lodged in her eye) in FaceTiming me so that we were able to have the reveal right before rushing her to x-ray/CT.
My grandmother spoke so highly of Stevie, along with the other staff that day.
I know firsthand how busy an ED can be, so it was very thoughtful that she was able to brighten my Nana's day just a little. My grandmother did not want to miss the gender reveal for the world and Stevie made sure that she didn't.
Stevie was a small little blessing to our family that day. My grandmother will soon be a great grandmother to a beautiful baby girl!
