Stewart Jennings, RN

Although Mr. Jennings is primarily assigned to the Bronchoscopy Laboratory, he has been essential in the delivery of nursing care. As a direct of staffing shortages caused by the continued Covid-19 pandemic Mr. Jennings volunteered to be cross-trained in the Cardiac catheterization Laboratory, Gastroenterology Suite, and Cardiovascular Imaging. Mr. Jennings’s flexibility and ability to provide nursing care on the fore-mentioned patient care units have prevented procedure delays, cancellations, and nursing staff burnout.

He also is cross-trained to assume a patient care load in the Medical Intensive Care and Progressive Care Units. In fact, Mr. Jennings was administratively detailed to the fore-mentioned patient care units twice by the Associate Director of Patient Care Services during Covid-19 outbreaks and is frequently sought by the MICU Nurse Manager for off-tour overtime coverage. Mr. Jennings consistently shows care and respect for his patients' families. By recognizing and anticipating the demands of their needs he gives his patients hope and exceeds expectations. Additionally, when providing care for patients, he cultivates a pleasant environment.
