Stewart McWilliams demonstrates exceptional patient care on a daily basis. One of our new (overwhelmed) base of tongue cancer patients (who is also legally blind) was in to the clinic to meet with the physician. He had a feeding tube placed nine days before, but had no appointments set to have the stitches removed. Stewart (with the background of a WOCN) stepped up to evaluate the discomfort the patient was having, and to remove the stitches for the patient (saving the patient time, travel, and an additional appointment). This patient left the clinic appointment with all his needs met and with improved comfort. Stewart's caring attitude and willingness to help out above and beyond his regular duties creates an atmosphere of excellence for us all!
