My husband was admitted with chest pains and gallbladder issues. Several of the doctors didn't give us good news. I was a wreck, but thank God we had Stormie as our nurse. She was very patient with me any time that I had questions or concerns. Never ever did she ever complain when I'd ask for her help. She always explained everything to us in layman's terms instead of medical terms that I couldn't understand most of the time. She managed to make us laugh and see things in a positive way! Honestly, I don't know how I would have made it through these past few days without her support. I was also blessed that she was able to celebrate my 55th birthday with me! She is a true blessing to the unit and especially to her patients. She truly loves her job and is very caring with her patients. I honestly wish that all of the nurses were exactly like her! There aren't enough words that I could use to explain how much she means to me! She is the best and I honestly hope that she receives this Award.
