Sue A Grissom, RN

Sue is one of the most caring and compassionate nurses I have ever worked with. She constantly goes above and beyond to provide the best care for her patients. I have watched her battle with insurance companies and facilities to help patients get the care they deserve. She goes above and beyond not only for her patients but also for family members. I witnessed her talk to the spouse of a patient (who normally relies on the patient to provide care) to help them receive appointment and care assistance during a very difficult time. I always know that if Sue is here, something is being done for her patients. Most recently, I had a young patient who had cardiac arrest. It was time to wean my patient from life support. The patient had two young (9 years old) children. I asked Sue if we kept any stuffed animals for kids, and she informed me that we did not. A few hours later, she returned with two stuffed animals that she had purchased. She went above and beyond to see that our patient and family were cared for during a horrible time. If only we had more Sue to go around. Thank you, Sue! We love you and appreciate all you do!
