Sue Anne is a role model for both undergraduate and graduate students in many roles. Clinically, she is engaged in at-risk populations and provides to care to patients through the local health department, emergency relief operations,and international clinical opportunities. In the area of research, she shows students that you can be a passionate clinician who has ideas to improve care, change policy, and have a great impact on not only the profession of nursing, but society as a whole. Professionally, she volunteers her time and skills through a variety of venues, is active in clinical and research pursuits both domestically and internationally, and does all of this while maintaining an open and friendly atmosphere in which students learn readily. She is a huge asset to nursing education.
