We want to nominate this nurse for her extraordinary patient care. She goes above and beyond the standard expectations for her patients. She was the first to pioneer the butterfly strips for all her patients who passed during her shifts. Her idea of creating a memento of the patient's heartbeats for their family brought so much comfort and healing during their hard times. All supplies were purchased through her own funds and not once did she request recognition for her creative idea. Now this amazing project has expanded hospital-wide. She brings her own lotions, brushes, and shampoos to bathe her patients one last time before they pass.

Not only does she provide extraordinary care, but she is a reliable team player. When crap hits the fan, she is always there, ready to jump in and help without hesitation. We have witnessed her comfort family members with her empathetic communication. She takes the time to explain everything in a way they can understand and brings them comfort in a very difficult time.
