Sue has contributed her heart and soul to her work as a nurse in Case Management. She has developed trusting relationships with her interdisciplinary team members and more so with our patients and families. Sue’s knowledge in end-of-life care has allowed our most complicated patients and their loved ones to have the most compassionate transition to the end of life with dignity. Sue puts the patient first, advocating fiercely for their care needs while they are hospitalized but then beyond the walls of the hospital. When our patients see Sue walk in, you can see a sense of comfort fall upon them, a reassurance that they have someone advocating for them that they trust implicitly. Sue makes herself available to patients and families on her days off, on the weekend, and she will not stop until she has done the most she can for a patient. Sue is a very valued and respected member of the St. Mary’s team. Her impact on the organization and on those we serve is immeasurable.
