Over the course of several days, Sue took my personal rehabilitation into her own hands. She single handedly nursed me back to health. Additionally, she never treated me with anything other than the utmost dignity and respect. She took care of me and allowed me to remember that I was human again. She never treated me like a drug addict. Only like a sick man needing to get well. She allowed me to see hope in that time. I believe that she went far above and beyond for me both in my physical and emotional care. Sue is the picture of what all Banner nurses should aspire to be.

I was several days into my stay on Hopi when I began to feel extremely anxious and suicidal. Sue offered to talk with me when no one else on staff was available and she taught me a deep breathing exercise that has become the most valuable tool for me in combating anxiety and depression. I'm grateful for her care, competence and kindness.

I was having a really bad day. Sue demonstrated what a nurse should be; calm, yet with a sense of urgency. She went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and taken care of. Sue is the definition of compassion. She is very efficient at her job. She always had a kind word and a smile. Thank you, Sue.
