Sue Mc Gaffigan, RN

My mom was admitted to ED having syncopal episodes and they couldn’t figure out why. She had been seen the previous day and sent home only to return with the same issue, nearly falling in the bathroom. Sue went through Mom’s heart box from the ED and found that she was having long pauses; she printed out the strips, matched them with what we were telling them, and sent them to the MD. The cardiologist came to see Mom and off she went for a pacemaker.

If it were not for Sue we may not have caught these pauses when we did; she could have fallen or worse with driving. Sue is one of the best nurses I have ever encountered; she did not stop until she could figure it out. Her assessment of Mom was top notch and I will be forever grateful to her for going above and beyond.
