I have worked with Sue for the past 16 years. She is an extraordinary nurse. She goes above and beyond in her nursing care. Sue's kindness and dedication to her patients is very evident in her every day care during each pulmonary rehab class she supervises. As each patient begins pulmonary rehab, she meets with them to do an assessment and to also ensure they are taking their medications correctly. These include different inhalers, which can be difficult to understand and administer. I have been in attendance during these meetings and Sue's patience and understanding of each patient's condition is wonderful. As their classes progress, Sue has developed what she calls an Inhaler Rodeo, where her patients gather as a group. Sue demonstrates techniques once again and answers any questions or concerns they may have. I have witnessed patients become more energetic, more confident and more positive about their life and believe that Sue's interaction with them made a huge difference in their lives.
