Summer is an outstanding nurse who gives excellent care! She is a strong team player who actively seeks opportunities to help everyone on the unit. A recent code down in the parking area at the main lobby drew a response from our unit, and this nurse acted quickly to step up as the primary RN after APD cleared the scene. Her care of this trauma patient with a gunshot wound was superb! She simultaneously supported the patient physically and emotionally while documenting the care thoroughly. She gracefully addressed multiple tasks including the stabilization and transport and even assistance with the APD officer at the scene. Great work!
