Summer helped me during one of the scariest days of my life. I am a first time mom, 35 weeks pregnant, and came to Branson for my baby moon with my husband, which took an unexpected turn one evening. I was in the worst pain of my entire life and was sure I was about to deliver my baby when I arrived. All the L&D staff quickly assessed me while Summer inserted the IV painlessly and quickly. After they were sure I wasn’t in labor and the pain was from something else, Summer quickly contacted the Dr. to get medication to try and control my excruciating pain. She explained every single step she was taking while often adjusting the baby monitors as I couldn’t sit still due to the pain. She stayed with me when I had to leave the unit for tests. When they decided to keep me overnight, she immediately started making sure there were items available so my husband would be comfortable staying overnight with me. She kept us informed on the next day's plans and what my day should look like after she left. I will never forget my experience at Cox Branson L&D, and when my baby boy is older, I will tell him about his amazing nurse who took such good care of us.
