Summer was an extraordinary example of what a nurse should be. She never made me feel anxious about asking for help, never made me feel like I was wasting her time on questions, tried to accommodate me in every possible way to make my experience good, and really made me feel better from a physical, mental, and emotional standpoint by taking those few extra minutes out of her busy schedule. She communicated well with the rest of my team and in a timely manner, better than any nurse I've ever experienced in any medical care facility. Summer should be the example for others to emulate and I think she is an exemplary model of what the DAISY Award stands for.
