I was hospitalized due to complications of bladder cancer I have been battling since January of 2019. The scans that were ordered revealed my kidneys were not able to function due to the urine pressure back up caused by ureters not draining. I also had an infection with very high creatinine and BUN levels. After being transferred to PCU, Nurse Phillips entered my new room and introduced herself. Nurse Phillips immediately started to ease my fears and anxiety with her reassuring, caring, professional attitude. Nurse Phillips was very patient with me while addressing my fear and concerns. Throughout the night Nurse Phillips would continuously come to check on my physical and mental condition. Whenever I called her for her assistance, she was always prompt, pleasant, and had a "can-do attitude." In the past couple of years, I have had to be hospitalized several times due to my bladder cancer complications. I can honestly say Nurse Phillips has been one of the best nurses to treat and care for me! Nurse Phillips' effort and attitude was consistently outstanding during my stay. I am very thankful to all the wonderful caring nurses that have cared for me at Fairview Park. The nurses and staff are truly heroes!
