Summer was mentioned by a patient who came in with a history of drug abuse for her ability to connect with the patient beyond the stethoscope. The patient stated that Summer made her feel comfortable and at ease. She never once felt judged for her past behaviors and current crisis. She connected with Summer in a way that made her feel truly cared for and respected. We cannot thank Summer enough for her ability to meet our patients exactly where they are and provide care that extends beyond pathophysiology!
