I was working with a patient and family who were here for an extended period of time. The clinical course was complicated, and the family could not be here or call during the day. They felt their mother received great care, but felt that Summer went above and beyond for their mom every time she worked. Summer would call the designated "cheerleader" so that the patient could talk with someone and eat (the only time she would eat is if she was talking with family), and she always called the patient's sons near the end of her shift to give them a daily update. The sons said they felt so connected to their mother's care when Summer was working. Her clinical skills and documentation are excellent as well.
