I have so many stories of Sunny time and time again living up to the Quality Caring Model, but for this week, she had a patient that was uniquely created. I expressed that the patient seemed to be wheezing to the nurse the day before to no avail. The next day I ran to see how he was doing and Sunny was in the room and had been in there since shift change. She immediately assured the patient that he was safe, and she was going to take care of him. She explained everything that was going on with the patient and the side effects and why he was short of breath. She communicated everything to the physician and made me feel that the patient was in great hands. She gave me peace of mind.
