When it was found that a patient who had just had surgery could not afford his post-op prescriptions, multiple staff from pre-op, recovery and OR got together to pool money so the patient could have enough money to cover his expenses. Staff was able to collect so much money, the patient had leftover to pay for other things he needed in his recovery. The staff wasted no time going into their own wallets to help someone in need.
