The OR Team has demonstrated outstanding teamwork, initiative, and commitment to improving the efficiency, organization, and safety of the Operating Room through the following achievements:

• Successfully relocated and reorganized the OR Store to optimize space utilization and accessibility of supplies.
• Equipped the OR Store with a dedicated computer to facilitate and streamline the entry of purchase requests.
• Implemented proper labeling of supply containers, including minimum and maximum stock levels and expiration dates, to support effective inventory management.
• Established a well-organized OR Store with shelves arranged according to specialty and assigned shelf numbers corresponding to the checklist for easier identification and retrieval of supplies.
• Developed preference cards to standardize and improve preparation for surgical procedures.
• Conducted comprehensive supply inventory counts to establish an updated database of implant and surgical supply quantities.
• Strengthened staff competency through training on the Surgical Safety Checklist and proper timeout procedures, promoting patient safety and compliance with surgical standards.
• Implemented specialty-based training, with senior staff mentoring and teaching new team members on major surgical specialties to enhance knowledge, confidence, and competency.
• Promoted teamwork and staff engagement through recreational activities conducted in collaboration with the Anesthesia Team.
