Susan "Abby" Johnston is a nurse in pediatrics where she always has a smile on her face and tries to make others laugh and feel welcomed. She shows compassion both to her patients and her co-workers. In pediatrics we recently had the opportunity to have an "honor walk" for a patient and his family. Abby worked behind the scenes to make sure the ceremony was flawless for this patient and family. She researched the proper way and reached out to others to help make it a memorable time for all involved. Abby is quick to find a need and within a short time she has come up with the resolution. Abby is a valuable asset to the Pediatric team and also to her co-workers. She puts the needs of others before her own and is always willing to pray, assist, or just listen to anyone.
