I just want to take a moment to recognize Sue's dedication to patient care. I get the pleasure of being able to hear many of Sue's calls from my office. One such call, she was consoling a young girl since she couldn't go to a pool party due to her recent surgery (which can be crushing for a young kiddo). Sue was able to expertly diffuse the patient's grief, and she congratulated the patient on listening to the doctor's advice. That patient came in for her post op and she couldn't wait to give her nurse a big hug to say thank you. Also, Sue and I both decided to work over the Juneteenth holiday, and I listened to her provide such gentle support to a patient who was having a difficult time managing his living situation and lack of resources. These hard conversations with patients never deter her. She rises to the challenge with grace and kindness. Thank you for sharing your bright light with your team and patients. She is loved by all members!
