Just then Susan walked in...I was so happy when I saw her.
I had been one of the many who caught COVID. I had been sick and my doctor recommended that I get the MAB therapy treatment. I was hesitant because I didn't really know a lot about the MAB treatment but that It was given to help those who had COVID get better by helping their immune system. I scheduled my appointment for Thursday just before Christmas. I knew that my husband was not allowed to go with me so that didn't help how nervous and scared I was. I checked in and was greeted by a tech who escorted me to my chair. I was so nervous and scared that I was at the point of just wanting to walk out but I sat in my chair and waited for them to get things started.

Just then Susan walked in...I was so happy when I saw her. I had worked with Susan and gotten to know her as a nurse and a friend. When I saw Susan and she recognized me I felt a sense of calm. Susan walked up to me stared into my eyes and said, "Everything is going to be okay." I knew I was going to be okay but the greatest thing that she did was she reached out and held my hand, the touch of her hand helped me feel comforted. I was very happy and blessed that I had this wonderful caring person realize that I was scared and acknowledged that I needed the comfort of her words and the touch of her hand to make me feel cared for.

I so appreciate Susan for what she had done for me that when I returned to work and ran into her in the hallway here at work I had to tell her what her words and holding my hand did for me. I will forever be grateful for her. There are no words that can express how this wonderful caring Nurse made me feel when I needed someone to make me feel like "everything is going to be okay".
