I would like to nominate Susan for this award for many reasons. She truly is an extraordinary nurse. I have worked with Susan for over 5 years. She has worn "many hats" in this department working with multiple providers and every age group. Susan has particularly excelled with the pediatric population. Along with her physician, Susan has used her vacation time to travel to an underpriveleged area to provide nursing care to pediatric patients. Having very primitive resources, Susan has performed urodynamic studies, taught parents how to catherize their children and instructed parents in bowel elimination techniques. With her own funds, she brings toys and treats to the children. In addition to the above, Susan is a dedicated patient advocate. She is always focused on the patient experience.
