Susan has shown leadership on our unit in many ways. She has selflessly worked on the floor and sacrificed her time away from her management time at the desk. She has helped prevent multiple mandations by taking over for nurses assignments, helping with the oncology transition and helping to educate/teach staff on infuse-a-port education. Susan spends extra time and attention making sure staffing is adequate, calling on weekends to volunteer to come in and help out and work, or even just answer phones. Susan offers daily to help at the desk with charge, watching the phones so staff can all get a break. Susan is a GREAT addition to the Surgical Inpatient Center team. She is a true leader and example of a great nurse, always willing to help out.
